Daniel joined McDonald Vague in 2006. He has been involved in a wide range of insolvency assignments across a variety of industries including hospitality, construction, manufacturing, printing and finance.
Daniel is particularly experienced at managing and running businesses in distress. This involves appraising the business to identify problem areas and implementing new structures to improve the business. By working closely with the directors and various stakeholders, Daniel has successfully managed and sold a number of distressed businesses.
Working in the insolvency industry involves dealing with disgruntled creditors and dissatisfied customers on a daily basis, Daniel has mastered the “fine art” of dealing with them in an ethical and professional manner. Daniel is also able to maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, landlords, clients and staff.
Daniel also takes pride in achieving sound results from asset realisations in an efficient manner.
Daniel is a Chartered Accountant, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Auckland. Outside of work Daniel is a fishing fanatic. He also enjoys rugby, music and spending time with his young family.
Daniel is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
